How To Stop Eyelash Pulling

Millions of people all over the world pull out their hair. Literally. They grab clumps of it and pull it out.

Eyelash pulling isn't quite as widespread but it still happens a lot. People either deliberately or absent mindedly pull out their eyelashes. They might get the urge to do this anywhere and at any time.

So how do you stop yourself from pulling out your eyelashes? They're there to protect your eyes and they can make you look beautiful. But if you keep pulling them out, there'll be nothing left!

Here are some ways that you can stop or at least reduce your urge to pull out your eyelashes.

  • Recognize when the urge to pull out your eyelashes happens. It's very likely that there will be some kind of "trigger" that says to your mind that you need to pull out another eyelash. Once you've discovered this trigger, catch yourself before you actually pull out an eyelash. This "catching" may be enough to reduce the problem but if it isn't, you may need to consciously swap the eyelash pulling for something less problematic.
  • Try coating the problem area with Vaseline to make it more difficult to pull on your eyelashes. Making your eyelashes slippery could be enough to stop the habit. Obviously you'll need to be careful when you apply it as your eyes are sensitive.
  • Keep your hands busy. If you're doing something else to occupy your hands, they'll have less time to pull out your eyelashes.
  • Keep yourself busy and active. Quite often, habits such as eyelash pulling occur when we're bored.

Hypnosis can help stop your eyelash pulling by simply listening to an MP3 on a regular basis. It's a cheap, quick and effective solution to stopping pulling your eyelashes.
